BetCRIS Weekly Review 09-NOV-2006
Bookmakers enjoyed another great NFL Sunday this week with some
major upsets. The biggest result was Miami who came from nowhere and
defeated Chicago when they were a large 13 point underdog. One
Customer here at Bet Cris picked Miami to win though at a luxurious
price of +750 and collected $30,000 from a $4000 bet. It was
actually amazing how many straight up win bets that were placed on
Miami. Teaser bettors had another tough week, mainly due to
Chicago's loss as they were involved in nearly every Teaser and
parlay that was wagered.

Review 30-OCT-2006
Illinois nearly provided us with one of our biggest wins when they
were leading at halftime 24-10 over Wisconsin on Saturday. One
customer couldn't resist trying to pick up some easy money by
betting Wisconsin straight up to win at -20000, he liked them so
much that he risked $100,000 to win $5,000. I am sure he had some
heart issues watching the game, but luckily for him, Wisconsin came
back to win 30-24 mainly due to Illinois failing to score in the
second half.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 23-OCT-2006
I am sure it just wasn't BetCris that enjoyed a great week this
week; in fact I would assume all bookmakers had terrific numbers
with lots of terrific results on the weekend. NFL Sunday finished
the week in fine fashion for bookmakers with some extraordinary
results which could be attributed to some big injuries.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 16-OCT-2006
Tennessee saved our NFL Sunday with their upset victory over
Washington. This week was a perfect day for people who bet 10 point
Teasers, with Washington, Dallas, San Diego, Denver and tonight's
Chicago games all favored by between 10 and 15 points. Unfortunately
though, the carry over of winning Teasers for Chicago are immense so
we are already looking at a very bad Monday Night Football game
unless Arizona can do the impossible, which I doubt very much.

Review 09-OCT-2006
College football bettors finally came back to earth this week after
a great start to the year. We have hardly paid the bills with
College football but last Saturday in particular was great for
bookmakers. Nearly all options for College football returned a
profit for bookmakers, with parlays and teaser's being particularly
good for us. I wish I could say the same for NFL Sunday but Teaser
and parlay bettors had another field day at our expense. I don't
know the figures, but the ratio of winners by people playing Teasers
on the favorites so far this year must be staggering. Our customers
did not love Davis Love III at all this week when he won the
Chrysler Classic of Greensboro, even at a decent price of 25/1.
Padraig Harrington did provide a decent payday for our customers
however at the odds of 16/1. One customer came away smiling after
placing $2,000 on him to win $32,000. Below is a quick summary of
our best and worst games for the week.

Review 02-OCT-2006
NFL teaser bettors had another great day on Sunday and if it wasn't
for New England's upset victory over Cincinnati it would have been
an extremely dark day for us here at BetCris. Indianapolis, Dallas,
Kansas City, Atlanta and Chicago were all common teams with teaser
and parlay bettors. College football this week was better for
bookmakers but mainly due to a few upset victories, none better than
Illinois's victory over Michigan State which I have commented on
below.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 25-SEP-2006
The Denver Bronco's upset win over New England capped off a turn
around NFL Sunday from last weeks disaster. Sunday's NFL was decided
in the bookmakers favor by results like Baltimore not covering the
spread and upset St Louis and Denver results.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 18-SEP-2006
Bookmakers
around the world should be bleeding after a devastating NFL Sunday
with only three small favorites getting beaten from the 15 games
played. We had nearly every customer we have here Teasers with
common teams like Chicago (-2), Baltimore (-6), San Diego (-5),
Green Bay (+7.5), Carolina (+8) and Seattle (-1). Needless to say,
people who bet teasers this week enjoyed a great NFL Sunday.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 11-SEP-2006
The first week of NFL action has produced some interesting results
so far, especially NFL Sunday with 8 road teams winning. The NFL
season kicked off with Miami at Pittsburgh Thursday without
Pittsburgh's star quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger. Charlie Batch
filled in well however and triumphed 28-17 in a game which we took a
staggering amount of bets. We are glad the NFL is here and it is
just amazing how many people betting football so far this year.
BetCRIS Weekly
Review 04-SEP-2006
College football kicked off their season on Thursday and with our
phone lines jammed, it wasn't hard to see our customers couldn't
wait. Thursday's best game for our customers was Northwestern
beating Miami Ohio 21-3. We opened this match at take your pick a
month ago, but after an avalanche of money placed on Northwestern,
we closed them a 5 ½ point favorite. Saturday the best game for our
customers was Nebraska blowing away Louisiana Tech 49-10. Nebraska
opened a 22 point favorite but it wasn't long before they blew out
to 24.5 points, but it didn't matter after the 39 point flogging.
Another 24 point favorite however did go our way with Oklahoma
failing to cover, but winning 24-17 over UAB. Overall though it was
good to get football off and running but this writer in particular
can't wait for the NFL to start this Thursday.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 21-AUG-2006
Bettor's
enjoyed a good week with many favorites winning, especially in
baseball. Sunday alone in baseball there were 13 defined favorites
which won, so with results like that bookmakers generally have a
tough time of it.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 14-AUG-2006
The first week of NFL Preseason has now been completed with
relatively no big injuries, apart from a Clinton Portis separated
shoulder and a hard yank on Chad Pennington's arm. We also saw some
stars return from big injuries like Daunte Culpepper and Drew Brees
which no doubt wet the appetite of their new teams Miami and New
Orleans.
BetCRIS Weekly
Review 07-AUG-2006
Football is officially here, well sort
of. Oakland defeated Philadelphia 16-10 in the Hall of Fame game
Sunday with Philadelphia closing a 2 point favorite after opening
higher at 3 points. The value bettors claimed the money with Oakland
winning, and it's always a good idea in Pre-Season games to take
whatever value you can considering the starters normally only play
one quarter or so until it gets closer to the regular season. This
weekend is full of NFL Preseason matches so check out the squads,
and see what value you can find.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 31-JUL-2006
The last day of Major League Baseball's
mid season trading is upon us and so far there is a few big names
changing uniforms. Carlos Lee is heading to Texas and Bobby Abreu is
now a Yankee. The NY Mets now lead the betting to win the World
Series at +500 but Detroit is still close at +550 with the White Sox
+615, Yankees +685, Cardinals +700 and Red Sox +715 seeing most of
the futures betting from our customers. This time of year can be
tough with last minute trades effecting teams lineup's but
thankfully we only have today to wait for any last minute deals.
Second half bettors in baseball enjoyed some good profits this week
at our expense, but its great to see the amount of interest our
second half's are generating now.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 24-JUL-2006
An
emotional Tiger Woods claimed his 3rd British Open title by 2
strokes over Chris DiMarco on Sunday. Woods started the tournament
at +500 and was bet for a total of $10,000 and then at +450 for
another $5000. Once we graded the tournament and with people betting
after the completion of every round, we had approximately $50,000
bet on Tiger Woods alone. Ernie Els would have been a big result for
us had he been able to win, with not many people willing to bet him
at +1600. DiMarco was a huge +9000 but didn't have much support
until after the second round was completed where he was +2000. Round
by round betting proved to be very popular, and with some of the
money we had to pay out with Woods winning, at least the rounds
betting helped us out a little bit.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 17-JUL-2006
Baseball's All-Star game was a highlight of an otherwise quiet week
for bettors. Between the Home Run Derby on Monday night and then the
All-Star game on Tuesday, the start of the week was pretty slow with
not much else available to bet on. Ryan Howard was our favorite to
win the Home Run Derby and didn't disappoint his backers, even if he
was nearly eliminated in the first round. Round by Round betting on
the Home Run Derby is proving more and more popular every year which
for us at least makes it worth while. The American League came from
behind to win the All-Star game on Tuesday which pleased many of our
customers.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 10-JUL-2006
Italy claimed the 2006 Soccer World Cup
in dramatic fashion yesterday after the score was deadlocked at 1-1
going into penalty shootouts. I'm not sure that the world cup winner
should be decided by a penalty shoot out, but that's what happened.
Italy was favorites to win the cup at -150 with France at +130. The
majority of our players believed in Italy having bet them from the
original price of -120 to the close of -150. That price inflation
though was good enough for one of our biggest players to bet France.
He outlaid $50,000 at +130 and backed it up at halftime at odds of
+140 for another $30,000 with the score tied at 1-1. We can't really
believe how big this world cup has been and now that it's over, it
will be sadly missed. We wish it was every year as every customer we
had it seemed placed bets on one game or another. I think our
happiest player this week was a value bettor who bet Italy for
$5,000 at 12/1 before the tournament began.

The Soccer
World cup is down to four teams with tournament hosts Germany now
favorites to win the Soccer World Cup. Germany will play Italy
Tuesday with the winner playing either Portugal or France for the
Cup. Odds for the Cup winner as I write are now, Germany +160,
France +225, Italy +325 and Portugal +600.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 26-JUN-2006
This week's Review
is being written just after my home country Australia was eliminated
from the World Cup by a questionable penalty call. Surprisingly,
Australia's last two games had them seeing plenty of betting
support, including mine unfortunately. Brazil +310 and Argentina
+350 are still the two favorite teams to beat. It doesn't seem to
matter though what teams are playing in the World Cup with every
game having lots of action.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 19-JUN-2006
Geoff Ogilvy was a popular pick to win
the US Open golf this week and he outlasted Phil Mickelson on the
final hole to win by 1 shot. We took several $1000 wagers on Geoff
Ogilvy at the start of the tournament at the odds of 80/1 and after
every round at odds of 25/1, 6/1 and 5/1. Most of our regular
everyday players seemed to like Ogilvy and also had some luck with
the match-ups this week. Needless to say, this golf tournament went
the way of our customers.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 12-JUN-2006
This week was the start of the much
anticipated Soccer World Cup. Living here in Costa Rica and having
Costa Rica kick off the world cup against Germany was quite an
experience. The whole of Costa Rica stops when it comes to Soccer.
The match started at 10am local time on Friday and many business'
simply just shut down! Even at lunch time we found it hard to find a
place to call to have food delivered, they were either closed or not
answering the phone as they were watching the television!
BetCRIS Weekly
Review 05-JUN-2006
After two terrific conference championship series, we are finally
down to just Miami or Dallas to win the 2006 NBA Championship.
Dallas is the early favorites at -160. After some great series match
ups, we will be sad to see the conclusion to the NBA season with a
record amount of bets placed this year.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 29-MAY-2006
The biggest news for the past week
would have to be Barry Bonds hitting his 715th home run to finally
pass Babe Ruth's 714 mark. Hopefully for Bonds and the rest of the
world, his steroid issues and hitting home runs won't be the only
thing featured in the sports news. Run-Line and parlay bettors
especially had a great week betting baseball, and with trends like
approximately 40% of Oakland games being decided by one run, it
maybe one reason some of our players who respect historical stats
are doing well. Our players who are following our live second half
baseball prices also had a good week.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 22-MAY-2006
Detroit finally put the last nail in Cleveland's coffin on Sunday to
win game 7 and move to the next round against Miami. Cleveland
nearly pulled a huge upset with Rasheed Wallace coming extremely
close to eating humble pie. NBA is really heating up now with the
now much anticipated Miami-Detroit series starting Tuesday. Our
betting action also reflects this with some huge action wagered on
all the series so far. With the Dallas-Spurs and Clippers-Phoenix
series tied at 3-3, Detroit is now a short priced +105 to win the
NBA Championship.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 15-MAY-2006
Brett Wetterich outlasted the 50/1
Trevor Immelman ton win the Byron Nelson Championship on Sunday by
one stroke. Wetterich was part of our field price of +150, which
considering it contains usually about 80-100 players, is normally
good value. People seem to like to bet the bigger prices though with
the field always a good winner for us.
BetCRIS Weekly
Review 08-MAY-2006
We are now down to 8 playoff teams in the NBA and so far everything
has gone according to the odds with no upsets so far. This
translates to a winning week for our NBA bettors. Our biggest
payouts on NBA was for our parlay bettors, and with all the
favorites winning, it's no surprise. Phoenix had the biggest scare
down 3-1 in the series against the Lakers, but fought hard and won
the next three games to take the series. You have to wonder though
how much energy and emotion they used up to come back. This series
was particularly bad for us with the public all over the Suns at the
start and even betting 3/1 on the Suns when they were down 3-1! The
good thing about sports is that there is always next week, and with
great series like Miami vs. Nets, Spurs vs. Mavericks and the Suns
now against the Clippers, I'm sure the action is really going to
Heat up.

Review 01-MAY-2006
All the talk this week was the 2006 NFL draft. For the last 4 months
all the talk has been Reggie Bush as a sure thing to be drafted
first overall by the Houston Texans. The Texans however decided to
go with defense and selected Mario Williams when everybody was
thinking it was a smoke screen to lower Bush's contract $$. We
usually hate taking bets on things like the NFL draft simply because
you need to keep your eyes glued to every news service in the
country. Needless to say, just about every customer we had knew
about Houston signing Mario Williams on Friday, a day before the
draft than we did! Reluctantly we had to pay that prop as well as
many others to cap off Donation Day to our customers.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 17-APR-2006
With NBA and NHL heading towards the end of the regular season, it's
always a tough time for bookmakers. Motivation is a big thing in
Sports, and when teams don't have anything to play for, it makes it
tough to come up with a good line to get balanced action on both
teams. The general bettors also don't like to bet games at the end
of the season when their team has missed out on the playoffs, or
even if they have secured a spot in the finals and can't advance
anymore and rest their starting players for the finals push. With
that in mind, it was a bad week in both sports for us here at
BetCris.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 10-APR-2006
This week started off with Florida winning the NCAA Championship
game, beating UCLA 73-57. Many of our customers started the week
with lots of cash in their pockets as Florida was well supported.
The Line opened with Florida a 2 point favorite, but closed lower at
only 1. Even with the line going the other way, we really needed
UCLA as the late money was all for Florida.
BetCRIS Weekly
Review 02-APR-2006
While Florida and UCLA fight it out for the NCAA Championship, the
other focus for the week ahead is the US Masters Golf tournament.
Tiger Woods is a short 3/1 favorite, but Phil Mickelson is the
golfer attracting all the betting action after his stunning
performance to win the Bell South Classic. Mickelson was 8/1 to win
and after two rounds of golf we virtually graded him the winner as
he was so far in front of the rest of the field. Many of our
customers not only claimed a good win, but bet him to win the US
Masters this week also. With Group betting, players to make the cut
and daily match-ups, the US Masters is always a huge event for us
here at BetCris.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 27-MAR-2006
We are now down to the final four teams in this year's NCAA
Basketball tournament. This week LSU and George Mason provided the
biggest upsets by defeating the highly favored Duke 62-54 and
Connecticut 86-84 respectively. Our customers edged out on top this
week with College Basketball with a few big winners. Two customers
alone won well over $500,000 in this past week just betting the
tournament games.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 20-MAR-2006
The first two rounds of the 2006 NCAA Tournament is now completed
with only 22 of the 48 favorites covering their spread. Not only
have the Dogs been doing well so far, but many of them have been
winning straight up and removing some highly seeded teams. Big name
seeds expected to do well in the tournament that has already been
eliminated include Iowa, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Nevada and
Ohio State. With results like this it has definitely translated into
a good week for us and I'm sure bookmakers everywhere. Through the
second round we now have Connecticut and Duke firm favorites to take
the title at +250 and +455 respectively and look likely to play in
the national championship game.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 13-MAR-2006
At last the NCAA Basketball regular season has concluded and the
teams are finalized for the main March Madness event. This year
proves to be as open as ever with many teams capable of going all
the way. If this weeks action is any indication to us here at
BetCris, then the Bracket matches will be a record betting event
with many new customers signing up and Betting their opinions.
Betting at halftime of the games seems to be growing at a rapid rate
with the advantage of having already seeing your team perform in the
first half, yet still being able to place a bet on the outcome of
just the second half.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 06-MAR-2006
It was a tough week for bookmakers with many of our regular everyday
players having a good week. Sunday however wasn't as good for our
players with some results finally going our way. A very surprising
result was Arena football. Our customers actually lost this week at
Arena football which is a very unusual occurrence considering Arena
football has traditionally been a bettor's paradise.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 27-FEB-2006
Its goodbye to the 2006 Winter Olympics and we will be sad that they
have finished here at BetCRIS. It was a terrific event for us with
surprisingly great action and following from our customers. The best
and biggest event by far was the Men's Ice Hockey, and the biggest
disappointment from the bettor's point of view was Canada and the
United States teams. Combined both countries could only win four
matches between them which was not expected at all considering
Canada was a even money favorite to win the Gold medal before the
tournament began.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 13-FEB-2006
The Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy took centre stage this week,
along with the NBA All-Star game with regular NBA games having a
break over the weekend and NHL having a two week break. Olympic Ice
hockey in particular has seen tremendous action and has also seen a
few upsets as well. The biggest upset by far was on Saturday with
Switzerland outplaying the tournament favorites, Canada. Canada was
a big -1000 to win the game in regulation and they had plenty on
people taking the short odds. One of our customers was prepared to
bet $20,000 to win $2000 and found out the hard way that sometimes
upsets do happen when Switzerland won 2-0.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 13-FEB-2006
With the NFL Pro Bowl now over, it's good bye to the Football
season. Pro Bowl games are usually thought of as high scoring games,
but this year the wind proved to control the passing game and keep
the scores a little lower than usual. The game total opened at 66.5
points and went as high as 69.5 points until it settled at kick off
at 67.5 points. The NFC upset the AFC 23-17 and we won the game
total, but the public did pretty well in the game overall. The AFC
were favored by 4 points at kick off, but value bettors took the +4
in a game where there normally isn't a blow out.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 06-FEB-2006
What a game of fluctuating fortunes this years NFL Super bowl was.
It looked to me that Seattle started better than Pittsburgh, but
Pittsburgh went to the halftime break in front with a 7-3 lead.
Pittsburgh came out after halftime and scored a touchdown and then
was only 7 yards away from another which would have almost sealed
the win for them, but Ben Roethlisberger threw an interception to
keep Seattle alive. Unfortunately for Seattle Matt Hasselbeck
returned the interception favor and Pittsburgh came out winners
21-10.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 30-JAN-2006
I don't have much to report this week with the Super bowl coming up
and Pittsburgh and Seattle having a week off to prepare. The
Australian Open tennis concluded with the short priced Roger Federer
claiming his seventh grand slam title. Federer was a big -800 to
beat Marcos Baghdatis from Cyprus. Federer was a big favorite (-200
before it begun) to win the Aussie Open especially when Safin and
Nadal withdrew before the tournament started. The women's final
ended with a No Action result for us as Henin-Hardenne retired in
the second set due to injury.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 23-JAN-2006
With two great defensive efforts, we finally have our Superbowl
match up. Pittsburgh did what many people thought they could not do,
and that was too go to Mile High stadium in Denver and win. The
opposite was true in Seattle with the Seattle crowd and their
defense too much for Carolina. We enjoyed a great Sunday here with
the NFL results, in particular Pittsburgh's win.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 16-JAN-2006
What a weekend of NFL Football! Sunday would have to go down as one
of the worst decisions I have seen in NFL ever. Pittsburgh nearly
had the game taken from their grasp mainly due to a Challenged play.
The play was ruled on the field as an interception, and awarded to
Pittsburgh. I don't know what replay the umpires were looking at,
but it was clearly a different one to the rest of the world. They
overturned the on field decision and awarded an incomplete pass to
Indy instead of the interception. Pittsburgh would have all but
rapped up the game with the score at 21-10, but with the overturned
decision and a couple of plays later a 2 point converted touchdown,
Indianapolis was back from nowhere to rail 21-18 and a healthy 4.30
minutes left on the clock.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 09-JAN-2006
What a week in both College and NFL football. Some spectacular games
to watch including a great last second win by Texas in the Rose
Bowl. The action in the Rose bowl was absolutely huge with both
teams attracting plenty of support. NFL wildcard weekend continued
along the same way as during the year with Washington, Carolina and
New England all involved in our customers teaser bets. Overall the
NFL was break even weekend for us, but the College Bowls were
definitely great for us, mainly because of the huge action we
received. NBA and College basketball will now start to see more
action with NFL into the divisional playoffs, and college football
finished for the year. Here is the break down of some of our
football games this week.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 02-JAN-2006
What an up and down week we endured here at BetCris. Things got off
to a very, very bad start for us last Monday with the heavily
supported New England beating the Jets by 10 points in a high
scoring match. Considering the bad Sunday we also had last week
(Xmas day) we were really hurting and plenty of our customers had
lots of money to spend going into the New Year. Many College Bowls
concluded this past week, and while we did have a lot of anxious
moments, in general the week was good for us in the Bowl games.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 26-DEC-2005
Christmas is the time for giving, and here at BetCris, giving is
exactly what we did! The whole week was a grind with some difficult
results to overcome. The College football Bowl games were great for
the favorite bettors with all 6 favorites winning and three covering
the spread and one landing on the number. Those numbers are hard for
a bookmaker to recover from, let alone Sundays Christmas day NFL
disaster games! NBA was good for us however college basketball
turned around this week and the public had a win finally.

Review 19-DEC-2005
Christmas came early this week for us at BetCris. It was a terrific
week for us all way round, with NBA and College basketball returning
some major upsets during the week and then finally a couple of big
results went our way with the NFL this weekend. Teasers on the NFL
were nothing short of spectacular this week finally! Dallas' great
record in the Washington rivalry games has been terrific and the
public certainly thought it would continue but Washington thought
differently and that result was by far the best for us this week.
Here is the break down of this weeks NFL games.

Review 13-DEC-2005
The last week started off pretty bad for us with Seattle kicking
Philadelphia's butt in record fashion on Monday night, but then the
rest of the week was good with NBA and college basketball churning a
nice profit for us, that was until Sunday. Again!
BetCRIS Weekly Review 05-DEC-2005
With Christmas just around the corner, all of us at BetCris are
wishing that we can get some decent Teaser results for the last few
weeks of the NFL season. Its been terrific for teaser players this
year, and with recent years being good for bookmakers, a year like
this year was bound to happen. Accompanying teasers this week were
general parlay bettors in NFL having a decent week as well. Every
favorite won on Sunday except Pittsburgh who lost to Cincinnati and
the other game was Denver vs. Kansas City which was at odds of take
your pick. When results like that happen as a Bookmaker you can
expect a lot of payouts!
BetCRIS Weekly Review 30-NOV-2005
Thanksgiving week didn't start too well for us here at BetCris with
Atlanta beating a demoralized Detroit and Denver edging out a
determined Dallas. Both teams were heavily supported especially by
our Teaser bettors. The two other big teaser teams on Sunday were
Tennessee against San Francisco and Cincinnati playing Baltimore.
Needless to say, Teaser bettors in the NFL enjoyed a great week.
College football was good for us with some great action again and
some decent upsets.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 21-NOV-2005
We experienced a good week here at BetCris this week, but not
without a few worries. College football was terrific and its good to
get some good results in considering the season is concluding fast.
With big favorites like BYU and Miami Florida losing straight up,
and some good results in the NFL to bust up some teasers, overall we
walked away from the week happy.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 15-NOV-2005
The NFL is well and truly heading towards the business end of the
season and it took all of the 10 weeks so far before we encountered
our first real big NFL Sunday. With upsets like Minnesota beating
the NY Giants, and the Packers beating Atlanta, our regular Teaser
bettors had a rough day, and the parlay bettors were not far behind.
College produced some mixed results, but with a couple of late games
going the publics way, it swung the day back to in their favor for a
small loss to us. Most times the late games can be very critical to
us, as players will usually play those games to try and get out for
the day if the early results haven't been good for them.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 03-OCT-2005
After a terrific week for us though Saturday, the players came back
like a rocket on Sunday. All week we enjoyed some terrific results
with College football including a great Saturday, but Sunday NFL was
a massive turn-around at our expense. NFL teasers especially were a
killer with games like Cincinnati, Indianapolis and Tampa Bay
proving extremely popular with just about every teaser player we
have! We looked at one stage to reclaim a little money with San
Francisco scoring 2 defensive touchdowns early in the final game of
the night being played in Mexico, but unfortunately the offense of
San Francisco could hardly move at all and the heavily supported
Arizona came through add to a disappointing day.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 26-SEP-2005
BetCRIS Sportsbook endured a very up and down weekend with football,
but at least it was better than last week. Midweek College football
on Wednesday through Friday was nothing to write home about, but
Saturdays College was a much needed turn-around in our favor.
Moneylines, Point spreads, Halftime betting were all winners for the
house. We split the exotics with Parlays being a small winner, but
College Teasers rebounded in favor of the public. NFL Sunday could
have been one of our biggest weekends, but with some late rallies by
teams such as Philadelphia, Dallas and Seattle overpowering a Kurt
Warner-less Arizona, we barely came away on Sunday paying the wages
and electricity bill!
BetCRIS Weekly Review 19-SEP-2005
The public enjoyed a good weekend of betting football this week in
both NFL and College. NFL points spreads and money lines were a
loser for the house but we got the better of the public with NFL
totals as well as a small profit on parlays and teasers. College was
almost the opposite with the public enjoying a good weekend with
Totals, Parlays and Reverse action bets, but the house winning the
money line and point spreads. For the savvy first and second half
bettors their wasn't much to crow about with both NFL and College
both small winners for the house.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 13-SEP-2005
Finally the first week of NFL has come and gone but not without a
couple of upsets. San Francisco proved that they may not be quite
the easy beats everyone thinks they might be, and New Orleans dug
deep for a win dedicated to hurricane Katrina victims. In general it
was a good week for us with plenty of action and of course the
upsets helped alot as well. We enjoyed another good weekend of
College football as well and can only hope our good run continues.
Parlays and Teasers were particularly good in the NFL, but the
public got the better of us on some second half betting, College in
particular. Bettors also seem to be getting the best of us in
Reverse Action bets in both NFL and College so it wasn't all doom
and gloom for the bettors this weekend.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 09-SEP-2005
Real NFL Football is nearly here! Week 3 Pre-season is finished and
with only one week of Pre-season left we can't wait for the Real
Football to start!! Week 3 continued the strong trend towards the
public bettors with many games falling around the spread, or winning
by the margin after a huge steam action. One of our regular
International customers who loves to play teasers is winning enough
to buy his own Island. Not only has he won about $500,000 in the
first 2 weeks of Pre-Season he followed it up this week with another
win of $150,000! Not a bad 3 weeks work.
BetCRIS Weekly Review 05-SEP-2005
College football is here and the bettors are as happy as Scrooge
McDuck locked in his bank vault full of cash. With some big moves
made from opening lines, the public grinded a nice profit from the
first week of College with 18 from 34 games winning which moved 1 or
more points from the opening number. Not to mention a few games
landed in between the moves and cost us both ways. A bright note for
us were teasers which went our way thanks to a couple of major
upsets. Parlays were good for the house, with the exception of 2
team parlays which were heavily in favor of the public. |
